Finally, the END is near.

One more week of classes! I can't wait.

I have been EXtremely busy. I feel so drained. ugh.

But it's almost over.

This week is the RZ competition.

I helped the husband set up on Saturday, and judging was today from 9-11.
We find out who wins at 3. I am so nervous for my husband.
I wish, wish WISH that he was one of the winners.
(SIGH) my heart is a-flutter.

Something I have been working on:

So yesterday was a beautiful sunshiney day, and the husband and I decided to take our dogs to Ferne Cliff State Park, and hiked.

Well, here we are climbing rocks, and here I am trying to grasp a tree branch before I slip to my death. I grab hold and with my back facing the ledge, I try to get down off the rock I am standing on...

...CRACK...

Part of the tree branch, that I am holding, breaks and the other half whams me right in the left eye.

I cried so hard! It hurst so bad, as if someone punched me really hard in the eyeball.
No my eye is swollen and blueish, and people will probably think I got into a fight. Hah!

I woke up with my eyeball throbbing. I'm lucky my contact lens didn't break.
I am also lucky to still see at all, but it is very blurry.

Well hope you have a happy Monday. Toodles.

Going to the Masters and Tiger Woods.

So the hubby and I went to Augusta, Georgia with his mom and step-dad.

It was a wonderful FAST trip.
The ride down was beautiful especially through the mountains in Chattanooga, TN.
Took us about 7 1/2 hours.
We stopped in Covington to spend the night Sunday, and had breakfast at the Waffle House.

The golf course was breathtaking BEAUTIFUL. I don't think I have ever seen such a pretty place. The flowers were in bloom and the grass was pristine. What was even more beautiful were the Wisteria flowers that twined up the trees. Though it was overcast until the we left at 3:30, it was good weather. At least we didn't burn in the heat of the sun.

I never knew so many people were into golf! Now I'm really excited about it.

The golf course was 300 acres, set within the city of Augusta. The city was built around the course. When you are outside, you never would have thought the inside was so lush and exotic! But once you're in, you wouldn't think you were in the middle of a city.

The price of food was not bad at all.. but the gift shop! O MY!
Now that's where they make the money. People go NUTS in there! It was like a Golf Mosh Pit (if such a thing were to exist)

There were so many people. The lines for the bathrooms were EXTRA long for the.... MEN!
YES! the MEN! I went right on in to use the restroom, no waiting!

Well, I guess I shall post some pictures of our 2 day trip.
We got home about 2:00 am. Boy was I wore out!

Hope to go again next year!

Oh yeah, I got to see TIGER WOODS. It was awesome. To hear about his talents, and then to see it happen right in front of me! That was so magical almost! There were so many people who followed him, it was crazy I even got as close as I did.

It's scary when someone's body is found on campus.

So yesterday's news at SIUC was someone found a body in the woods.
He was an international graduate student from China.
It is sad that his family is half way around the world.
I guess investigations are still going on.

So.. sorry that I started the blog off with a sad story.

I have been SO-o busy.

I did not get to bed until 3 am. YIKES.

I love fabrics.

Tonight is my Stamp Camp. We will be making 3 sets of cards, 2 tissue boxes, 2 domino pins!

Hope you all have a good Thursday.

Toodles.
